The Renegade Network Marketer - Review by Matt Hellstrom

When Ann Sieg came out with the FREE report The 7 Great Lies about Network Marketing it made many old-school marketers (and MLM companies) squirm big time. The report addressed many issues that were nagging in the back of the minds of networkers everywhere. Here is a sample of the lies that she talks about in this report:

  • Everyone is your prospect!
  • This isn’t really sales – it’s just sharing!
  • Anyone can do this business!

These are common phrases that all network marketers have heard many times if they’ve been in the business for any length of time at all. She discusses these 3 lies, and 4 more, in her free report, which you can download here.

Though this report initially appeared kind of negative and discouraging, she followed it up with some answers! She wrote The Renegade Network Marketer, an inexpensive e-book explaining a new way of marketing that gets prospects calling you, instead of you having to chase them down.

I read an article in a magazine put out by my company talking about the Gen-Y generation, and how active they are on the social network websites like Facebook, MySpace, and YouTube. So I got on my computer and searched for “promote MLM on Facebook” and I stumbled on a YouTube video by a knowledgeable Gen-Y’er that was promoting her business on Facebook. She was also promoting The Renegade University, a step-by-step plan for creating a presence on the social marketing sites. I promptly signed up for this FREE program, and began to learn about attraction marketing.

The book they recommended was The Renegade Network Marketer. They use it as their “textbook” for the University, so I bought it and started reading it.

I found myself cringing many times as I made my way through it. Here was a book that said on paper what I had been thinking for many years, but was almost too afraid to say: that building my Network Marketing business, as I’d been taught by my company and upline, was a losing battle for me. I still believed in the industry as a whole, and especially my company, but where I struggled was in how I could make it work, and how I could train my people to do the same.

The whole philosphy of The Renegade Network Marketer is to give people something of value without promoting your MLM at all up front. Then, when the people you’ve given value to start to trust you and see you as a leader and knowledgeable, they’ll be more likely to want to know about your Network Marketing opportunity. She outlines many different strategies for doing this, and when you purchase the book you also have access to The Renegade System back office, with tons of resources available for you to build your business.

The other main part of this system is Monetization: the ability to earn money while you’re giving these people value. A major problem almost all new networkers face is cash flow. Many fail because they just can’t afford the monthly autoship requirements, leads, promotional tools, etc. necessary to sustain them while they are building up their downline. We all know this doesn’t happen overnight! Monetization helps meet the expenses while you’re just getting started. Ann’s book does a good job of explaining this concept, and the back office system has many resources to help you get started with the monetization.

I found The Renegade Network Marketer to be one of the best books I’ve every read on the subject of network marketing, and it totally changed my way of thinking about how to build my business. You can read more about it here. Even if you decide not to purchase the book, I still strongly suggest you read this article and learn more about this whole paradigm shift.

P.S. When you do get started, you’re going to want to check out The Renegade University. These people used Ann Sieg’s book as a basis for creating a huge training website that gives you step-by-step instructions for getting your social internet attraction marketing system up and running. It’s geared for people that don’t have any internet experience, but is in depth enough for even the most advanced internet marketers. I heartily recommend The Renegade University. You get a free test drive, so get started today, you’ve got nothing to lose!
